‘WHO’ IS COACHplus?
COACHplus is the bilingual Anita Veenstra (1963). Though I have always been an enterprising personality, it took me a long time before I started my own ‘enterprise’.
Being a born life coach
Even though I have been a typical Sagittarius down to a T, which meant that I have travelled the world extensively including two world trips, have lived in several countries and got two university degrees, every road I took could eventually only lead to one thing; my goal in life. Meaning being who I am in the way I am, for short doing what I am suppose to do as a born coach and a real knowledge gatherer and more important to you; a knowledge transferor. On top of that I have always been fascinated by what makes people tick and what drives them. So life coaching and counselling is really my thing but it took a lot of effort to find this out.
Becoming stuck
A couple of years ago I had become stuck not only professionally but also in my private life. Wanting to sort out work first (the easy part) I went to a career advisor agency, one of the best in the business, and not only got career advice but also sorted out some important problems I encountered in my personal life. The agency made me look and analyse my part in all of what I had encountered, which wasn’t always fun or easy but did bring me back the most important things; the real and authentic Anita. It has been worth the effort and every penny I spent on it. The best investment I ever made; in myself.
Personal development
All the searching and detours I took and problems I encountered in my life in hindsight
were necessary to gather the needed knowledge en more importantly the necessary (life) experience to be able to coach and counsel clients and being able to share it. In my opinion you can only transfer that what you have experienced and know yourself. And that is a lot! For a long time I regularly had a acking feeling, a hole in my heart and a certain hunger in me. I was searching for something but did not know really for what. Looking back I was searching subconsciously for parts of myself which had been lost along the way mainly under pressure of others in order to conform. In the end I found out that the most important relationship you have, the relation is you have with yourself. That the happiness I pursued didn’t lie within things or relationships with people around me but had been inside of me all along.
