CODE OF ETHICS

The Code of Ethics and branch associations
COACHplus is bound by the Code of Ethics as prescribed by the Counselling Foundation ( www.counselling.nl ) and the professional ethics of the General Branch Association for Counsellors (www.abvc.nl ). COACHplus has full membership of both organisations which among other things monitor the quality of service of affiliated counsellors.

 

The Code of Ethics a brief overview

The Code has certain basic conditions which COACHplus subscribes to such as:

• Integrity
• Respect
• Impartiality

Professional confidence

Part of the Code of Ethics is confidentiality, which obligates coaches and counsellors to treat what they are being told during sessions as confidential. This means you can depend on it that no-one will be notified of the contents of the sessions, unless the law (police of judge) requests otherwise and only then with regards to relevant information to for example the suspicion of severe crimes committed.
