Life coaching is for those who, either personally or professionally, want to get more out of life or want to find a balance in all the things the need or want to do. It is for people who experience (some) difficulty trying to get what they want and/or to reach certain goals. Life coaching can help you to get the most out of life and to reach your goal(s). |
What is life coaching?
Life coaching gives individuals new insights and creates possibilities mainly through dialogues. It encourages individuals to develop or make use of the necessary skills, attitudes, and knowledge that will help them develop and execute action plans to meet goals. Life coaching can change people’s perspective on life by increasing their potential by expanding their sense of what is possible.
When is life coaching useful?
Life coaching can be very useful if things are not (quite) going the way you want them to. For example when you don’t know how to deal with certain things or what you have tried so far hasn’t quite led to the result you had in mind. You could do with a bit of help from someone who goes over things with you, makes you aware of certain (restrictive) thoughts and behaviour among other things and who really listens to you. A life coach is such a person.

- You would like to handle certain situations better
- You would like to be able to deal with certain people better
- Your talents and potential stay (largely or partly) unused

Reaching your goal, getting what you want
Life coaching is a good way to find out what is keeping you from reaching your goal. After discovering this you are guided in dealing with these obstacles and to achieve the goal you want. What can you expect from me as your life coach?
During the coaching sessions I will among other things listen closely and carefully to what you are saying, analyse, bring structure to the conversation and give you feedback. If applicable I will point out any unproductive thoughts, (un)desired behaviour, blind spots, counter (negative) convictions about certain things and other people but above all about yourself. Your drive, motivation, strength and possibilities will also be part of the conversation all in due time.
For who is life coaching suitable?
Life coaching is suitable for those who want to reach certain goals and/or handle certain situations better. For those who are experiencing (some) difficulty achieving this and could use a bit of help. For short for people who want to get more out of life, either personally or professionally.
Life coaching is unsuitable for people with psychiatric problems and if suspected that this might be the case the person will be referred to a psychologist or psychiatrist.
